I would probably try this in a small spot first to make sure it wont damage or your carpet, some carpets are synthetic and it can damage, but like i said it worked on mine great.
I bought pure acetone at walmart, and poured it on the polishnot saturated, but pretty wet.
Make sure to open a window, ventilate as the acetone is nasty!
I rubbed it around with my finger and then put a dry towel over the top, and a hot iron over that.
The polish was magically sucked into the dry towel and the stain was gone after a few rounds.
I then went over it with a mini carpet cleaner to get rid of the smell.
